Sylvaine Strike trained at the University of Cape Town Drama School and going on to specialise at the world renowned Ecole Jacques Lecoq, Paris; Sylvaine’s career has always  sustained a balance between theatre, television and film.

Acting: 

A versatile actress, equally comfortable in both comedic and dramatic genres, Sylvaine Strike’s television career was launched in 1995, when she played teenager Frankie Dwyer in the sensationally progressive South African sitcom Suburban Bliss. A few career highlights include roles in: District 9 (2009), Spud (2010), Black Sails (2016), Those Who Can’t (2016), An Act of Defiance (2017.)

Voice Work: 

Sylvaine Strike continues to be hugely successful as a voice-over artist. Always in demand, clients seem repeatedly captivated by Sylvaine’s ability to deliver complete originality to any script. Sylvaine’s impressive range of local and international accents, her capacity to perform various delivery styles and her natural ability to collaborate with directors and clients is more reason why Sylvaine has become known as one of South Africa’s finest voice-over artists. Sylvaine is fluent in English, French and Afrikaans.

Theatre Acting & Directing: 

Sylvaine’s break-through role, in theatre, earning her a best Actress VITA Award in Shopping and Fu***ing by Mark Ravenhill, directed by Yaël Farber for the Market Theatre in 1998.

Known for her unique signature brand in both devising and directing theatre, Sylvaine has moved hearts and minds as a post-apartheid theatre artist since 2000.  Her first break-through made an impact when she directed and co-devised the runaway success Baobabs Don’t Grow Here recipient of a Total Theatre Award at the Edinburgh Fringe 2002. Critically acclaimed work continued to follow, earning her a list of award winning productions including: Black and Blue; The Travellers; Coupé; The Butcher Brothers detect an intruder in the home; The Table; Tobacco; CARGO: Precious; Agreed; Eclipsed and Dop.

As artistic director of the Fortune Cookie Theatre Company, Sylvaine expanded her repertoire to direct and reimagine theatre classics for contemporary South African audiences. This included The Miser and Tartuffe by Molière; Curse of the Starving Class by Sam Shepard, and most recently her highly acclaimed direction of Endgame by Samuel Beckett for the Baxter Theatre.

Accolades: 

Sylvaine was made a Chevalier de l’ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French government on the 28th March 2019, and is the recipient of the Naledi Award for Best Director in 2012 (The Miser) and Fleur Du Cap Best Director 2018 (Endgame). She has devised and developed over 12 new South African plays and is a familiar face on SA television, winning the SAFTA (South African Film and Television Award) for Best Supporting Actress in a comedy in 2017 for her role in the acclaimed series Those Who Can’t.

Lutho John

Lutho John

Lutho John is a South African entertainer, television presenter, voice artist and entrepreneur best known for hosting the SABC1 shows Harambe (2010) and Spirit Sundae, since 2012.

Born and buttered in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape - at age 17, Lutho matriculated from Alexander Road High School, where he achieved Full Colours for Drama and Public Speaking before exiting with distinctions in Speech & Drama and Travel and Tourism.

After completing high school he enrolled at the Tshwane University of Technology where he honed his artistic talents studying for an undergraduate NDip: Musical Theatre (Singing, Acting, Dancing) and ultimately graduating with a BTech Degree in Musical Theatre majoring in Performance and Directing.

Since graduating Lutho John has performed in live productions and musical theatre shows at venues such as the Joburg Civic Theatre, Montecasino, Lyric Theatre, Wits Theatre and the Breytenbach Theatre. A trained dancer in ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap and African dance, he has worked with numerous well-known South African performers including Bianca Le Grange, Fiona Ramsay, David Dennis, Amor Vittone and Tumisho Masha, amongst others in productions such as Snow White, Pinnochio, Streets of Gold, Sweet Charity, Ragtime and Urintown.
He has MCed roadshows, events and appeared in a host of speaking engagements across South Africa such as the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Coca-Cola, Department of Education, HDI Youth Marketeers, The JD Group, Sanlam, Rand Easter Show, SABC Education, Eastern Cape Commission, Department of Education, Vaya Mzansi... to name but a few.

As a voice over artist, Lutho has used his vocal abilities to narrate television documentary films, commercials, training videos, on-air promotions, Internet, IVRs, corporate communications and brought multiple other stories to life. His baritone strong voice dipped with good diction, characterisation, inflection, tone and microphone technique has seen him emerge as one of the few voice artists in his age group who has consistently worked as a voice over announcer. From 2014 - 2015 Lutho John was the official voice of Telkom South Africa.

Wayne van Rooyen

Wayne van Rooyen

Wayne van Rooyen is a Naledi Award winning Actor. He studied drama at the University of the Witwatersrand and graduated in 2003 with a BA in Dramatic Art with Honours.

Since graduating, he has performed on stages both locally and internationally, and has appeared on several local television shows and appeared in the locally produced film 'Jozi.'

Some of his work in theatre includes 'Sophiatown,' 'The King of Laughter,' for which he won the Naledi for Best Supporting Actor, the world premiere of Athol Fugard's 'Victory,' and the Royal Shakespeare Company's South African collaboration of William Shakespeare's 'The Tempest,' with the Baxter Theatre.

Wayne has a long list of television credits, and currently he is playing the role of "Stokkies" on "Scandal! Soap Opera" on ETV, weekday evenings.

Tracey-Lee Oliver

Tracey-Lee Oliver

Tracey-Lee is a powerhouse singer, comedian, actress and voice over artist.

Originally from Grabouw in the Western Cape, she came to Johannesburg in 2005 to pursue her professional career. Tracey-Lee began singing at the tender age of three.

She has competed in various talent contests namely; Project Fame (M-Net), Afrikaans Idols (KykNet) and most recently The Voice (M-Net.) Project Fame catapulted Tracey-Lee on the road to stardom having worked as a session and cabaret vocalist.

Nominated for her performance of Deena Jones in Dreamgirls, she has also blown audiences away in Motown and Knights of Music (Earning a Naledi nomination)  at Gold Reef City. Tracey-Lee has performed alongside David Kau and Joey Rasdien in the feature film, Blitz Patrollie (2013.)

2014 saw Tracey-Lee join the ranks of Goliath and Goliath bringing a musical element to the Kings and Queens of Comedy National Tour.

In 2016, she was one of the five leading ladies in Supreme Divas (Joburg Theatre.) 2018 – 2019 saw Tracey-Lee play Marc Lotterings daughter Abigail Abrahams in Aunty Merle the musical. Tracey-Lee also took on the part of Annette in JungFrau, earning a Naledi Award nomination for her role.

2020, Tracey-Lee produced and starred in her very own online show The Journey and donated a substantial portion of the ticket sales to the Elgin Valley Covid Relief Effort, giving back to her hometown of Grabouw suffering from a financially devastating lockdown.

She also expanded to the podcast world with her online production called The Theta Show with American actor Tim Reid (Ray in sitcom Sister Sister) for his online People of a Legacy Network.

Nicole Bailey – CPT

From the age of eight, the allure of acting got South African actress, Nicole Bailey, starry-eyed. After briefly schooling in the United States, a year in England, travel through the Middle East and a university degree from Stellenbosch University, Nicole decided to pursue her passion and dream of being on stage and in front of the camera. Not one to do things in half measures, she enrolled at City Varsity School of Media and Creative Arts in Cape Town and got working.

Her first serious role came in her second year when she was cast in a lead role in Wanuri Kahiu's post-apocalyptic short film, Pumzi, which went on to be selected at major film festivals around the world and won Best Short Film at Cannes Independent Film Festival 2010. In her final year, Bailey landed a role in South Africa's first 3D film, Dredd and a few months later acted in the Twentieth Century Fox teen thriller, Chronicle, which opened in cinemas worldwide in 2012.

Her first major role in television was Let Heaven Wait, a sitcom on SABC 3 in which she played a sassy young retirement home nurse/receptionist, and she was seen on our screens as “Vanessa” in SABC 1’s award-winning Intersexions. She has also played roles on BinnelandersThe Message and Mzansi Manje, which ran at the Joburg Theatre in 2012, as well as appearing in several commercials including CTM, Standard Bank and Bokomo.

Apart from acting, Bailey works as a Production Manager, researcher and creative assistant.

Eloise Cupido

Eloise Cupido

Eloise is a multi-talented performer, well on her way to becoming an entertainment specialist. She completed a BA Drama degree at the University of Pretoria.

As a presenter she's found herself in various roles for shows such as; the Afrikaans lifestyle show Pasella, entertaining Afrikaans music lovers with the music video request show Belboks, spent a few years discovering the people of South Africa on Kwêla, and was part of the trio of art Angels that brought a fresh new appreciation for art in our country to local screens on Artcha

Eloise is a versatile actress playing anything from a clerk to a pregnant stunt woman in Paul C Venter’s It rained last night; an African princess in the German movie König Otto to a medical doctor in Jozi H and a gun wielding Afro girl in the movie Doomsday.

Since her debut in the entertainment industry she has stretched her comedic muscles on various shows including Vetkoekpaleis, Spekskieters, Kompleks and Proesstraat. On stage Eloise shines, she has played roles in Aspoestertjie, Sleeping Beauty as Miemsie Mouse and Boogie Nights, a 80’s disco musical.

Her vocal talents have been used for a wide variety of voice overs, radio dramas on RGS incl Blinkwater, Insimbi and Susters en Skandes. She was also the voice of Thembi, a puppet fairy in Thembi and Themba, for the Kyknet kiddies channel, Koewee.

Eloise is sought after as an MC and motivational speaker. Eloise was recently in studio finalizing work on her debut album, adding writing to the long list of her achievements.

Talitha Ndima

Talitha Ndima

Born on April 10, 1983, Talitha is a South African actress who has starred in many TV series. She graduated from the South African school of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance (AFDA) with a Bachelor of Arts and Live Performance degree.

Though Talitha is best known for her role as Constable Thandeka Moloi in the Afrikaans drama series; Erfsondes (Sins of Our Fathers), she has also appeared in the Mzansi Magic sitcom - It's For Life in 2011, a SABC 1 mini-series - Society and the SABC 3 sitcom - Font, amongst others.

Talitha takes her acting talent and translates this to giving an excellent performance behind the mic doing voice overs. Talitha is fluent in English, Afrikaans and Xhosa and can deliver in a variety of voice over styles.

Kinalma Bashman is an eminent and enthralling Entertainer, who utilises every card in her dynamic deck, to extend her talents across a vast realm of Performance.

This Port Elizabeth Prodigy recognised her innate talent at a young age, and, determined to get her voice and face hailed as a household brand; Kinalma deemed the sky her limit.

She began to establish herself as more than a brand, but rather a Lovemark. She has embraced the “future beyond brands” and successfully settled herself as a staple Personality in households across Southern Africa.

Kinalma is winning audiences over on Stage, on Screen and in Studio. You could experience her eclectic sound on Grand Voice Radio at Grand West Casino, Radio Morula at Morula Casino and currently The Glen Shopping Centre’s in-house radio station. And has been given the opportunity to voice the SABC 1 Sports Line ups for commercial radio as the Black English voice.
