Lunga Shabalala is a well known South African Actor, Presenter and MC.

His career launched in 2010 when he scooped the coveted title of host of Selimathunzi, one of South Africa’s longest running magazine shows. He later went on to present shows such as “The Man Cave” on SABC 3 for more 6 seasons and played host for reality TV Show “Shes the One.”

Lunga really found his niche within the sporting arena and has anchored AFCON magazine show, “That other soccer show” on SABC Sport, Official red Carpet for the PSL Awards, Host of the Discovery Sports industry awards for two years running, host of the UEFA Champions League Trophy tour, alongside Ryan Giggs and Thierry Henry.

Most recently Lunga Shabalala played host at the Inanda Africa Cup & the 2019 Rugby World Cup Final Viewing.

Over the years, some of the worlds most notable brands have put their trust in the hands of Lunga Shabalala, whether it be using his influence to help push an idea/brand or being the trusted personality to represent them on an international scale.

A lot of the trust embedded in Lunga can be attributed to his great social media following, a true reflection that he is at the pulse of what South Africans stand for & aspire towards.

The multi-talented Sechaba Gqeba hails from Vereeniging in Gauteng. Many are familiar with her voice on radio as she has over a decade of broadcast experience. In addition to being a radio host she is also a television presenter, a seasoned MC and speaker.

Her commercial radio breakthrough came up when she won a region wide annual talent search hosted by 947 previously known as Highveld Stereo and subsequently worked for Eye Witness News (EWN.) This then secured her role as a news reader for some of South Africa’s leading national radio platforms, namely; SAfm & Radio 2000. The next step was when Sechaba was offered her own nighttime radio show on Kaya FM.

The Kaya FM break proved that she was more than ready to share her distinctly recognizable voice with any radio audience, looking to further her career Sechaba moved to Cape Town to host her own daytime show on KFM for over 3 years. Sechaba has since returned to the City of Gold to expand her horizons and explore additional opportunities.

She made her television debut as the host of Motswako (Season 19) – a show that addresses pertinent issues such as women empowerment and leadership with a strong focus on informing while entertaining. Sechaba was also named among the 2018 Mail & Guardian Top 200 South Africans.

Sechaba continues to make strides in media broadcasting. She can also be heard across many radio and TV channels as she lends her disctinct voice to some of the country’s leading brands (Such as Woolworths, Audi, Engen, DHL, Johnson & Johnson, Old Mutual, Savlon, GNC, Vodacom, 1Magic, Albany and many more) as a voice artist.

Hungani Ndlovu is a trained actor, dancer and presenter.

Hungani started dancing at a young age which led to him develop a keen interest in the arts. He spent 3 years in the USA studying his craft and working in LA and NYC. Amongst other courses Hungani, studied dance at the Flii’Cademy and attended classes run by world renown choreographer’s, including Ian Eastwood, WillDaBeast Adams, Parris Goebel and Nick DeMoura, just to name a few.

Hungani’s first lead role was in Memoir of an Honest Voice which was nominated for Best Short film at the Africa Movie Academy Awards 2015. Notably, he played the lead in Black Coffee’s – Wish You Were Here music video. Hungani is most known for the role of Romeo which he portrayed on Etv’s Scandal and his YouTube channel, the Ndlovu’s Uncut.

Having founded an artist development studio called SANS Group, Hungani looks to empower others in the creative arena. SANS stands for Strong Attitudes Nurture Success. Hungani is also a part of the NGO Matrixmen which supports Male Victims of Abuse and the co-founder of the NGO – The Ndlovu Foundation which focuses on youth empowerment.

Three time SAFTA nominated Sivuyile “Siv” Ngesi is one of SA’s most dynamic performers, whose diverse talents have seen him making waves in the South African entertainment industry. He is a sought after comedian, popular television presenter, prolific actor, MC, and Producer, and a social media sensation. Celia Ncalane, graduated from Wits University with an Honours degree in Bachelor of Arts and received distinctions in, Screen Writing, Drama and Education facilitation. Whilst a student, Celia represented Wits University as an actor, twice at the National Grahamstown Arts Festival.

She then began her career in 2006 as a presenter for 34 Degree's South on the Hope Channel for a year. The following year she worked behind the camera as a producer and scriptwriter for a production company that produced documentaries for Sabc 1 and 2.

In 2008, she was then chosen to be a presenter for a motivational program on Sabc 3, called ‘Stand-Up’. Since then she has acted in films, a television drama and comedy such as ‘Stokvel’ and over the past ten years she has performed in numerous commercials for South Africa and the rest of the African continent for brands such as MTN, Orange, Royco, Purity and others.

As a professional voice over artist, she has promoted brands, such as Clicks, Checkers, @Home, Homechoice and Woolworths just to name a few. She has especially enjoyed, working as a children's storyteller and presenter for SAFM from 2014 to 2016 on a show called ‘Nali Bali’.

A definite honour for her was being chosen to announce the passing of the first black President of South Africa, Nelson Mandela on national radio; for two weeks encouraging the country to reflect upon his life and the values he inspired in us all.

Celia is a Zulu women, who is cheerful, peaceful and has a driven, never give up attitude, behind and in front of the camera.

Ashley Taylor is a well known actor, comedian, and voice over artist, having featured in numerous local and international television series and films, from "Winnie" with Jennifer Hudson, to "Invictus" directed by Clint Eastwood, to a lead role in "Stander" opposite Thomas Jane. He has presented reality shows such as The Block and was one of the original leads in "Isidingo", has featured in "Binnelanders", and most recently in the KYKnetseries, "Spoorloos". He has designed and MC'd presentations, for major conferences like Cafe Africa in Mauritius, the FNB Annual Leadership conference, the Independent Electoral Commission conference, and has more than fifteen years experience as the writer and creator of corporate strategy projects, and change management initiatives for companies such as Vodacom, Cell C, ACSA, TRANSNET, the DTI, LRMG, ABSA, and The JD Group.

Phathiswa Magangane is an up-and-coming singer/song-writer, voice-over artist, presenter and MC originating from the small town of Springs in Johannesburg. She currently resides in New York, USA after graduating with a BMus in Vocal Jazz Performance at UCT.

While at UCT, Phathiswa won the presenter search for Hectic-Nine9 and co-hosted the UCT YouTube show: You See TV. She also joined campus radio as a newsreader.

Phathiswa has entered and won her fair share of singing competitions since university including; the UCT Jazz Voices, The ArtScape Youth Jazz Showcase and the song-writing competition LiquiFruit #FeelFullyAlive, currently showcased on SA TV.

Phathiswa lends her cool, sophisticated voice to various brands as a voice artist. She is the consummate professional in studio and able to take direction well from agency and client.

Phathiswa is also featured on the musical intro track for ETV’s new drama series Harvest.

Msizi James

Msizi James, born in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal, 29 years ago, is a DJ/MC/Radio Host currently co-hosting the 5FM Drive-time show with Thando “Thabooty” Thabete. With his signature loud mouth that’s bound to keep you entertained on the airwaves and his reputation for being affectionately known to his peers as the “King of Commercial”, he is one of the most versatile and hard working entertainers of the next generation.

His start in the industry seemed to come by fate after winning an East Coast Radio talent competition in 2014. Their search for new talent on twitter found them this young bright-eyed radio jockey and they quickly jumped on the chance to offer him a slot hosting the early breakfast show every weekday 4-6AM. It wasn’t long before his natural ability to engage with his listeners began to shine and he was offered the chance to host the popular weekend breakfast show every Saturday & Sunday. In 2016 he was cast as the presenter of The Big Brand TV show on ETV.

In May 2017 Msizi was offered prime time slot at 5FM and became the youngest person and the first person from Durban to host a drive show on a national radio station. Msizi Is also the new host of an Educational TV Game show called Hidden Science, which will air in 2018. Msizi is also the owner of a branding and marketing company called The Brandlab.

Msizi’s skill-set is not limited to entertaining thousands of radio listeners on a daily basis though. He also spends his weekends playing deep house and commercial music for club and festival goers across the nation. Having only gotten into DJ’ing by chance at a nightclub in Durban a few years ago when he was asked to fill-in for a resident DJ who happened to miss his set, he has since developed a deep love affair with the 1’s & 2’s and his energy behind them is evidence of this. His style of music is described as “feel good” - the type of music that makes you forget about your issues and forces you to lose yourself in the rhythm. With his background in radio he brings a keen ear to song selection and plays music that’s guaranteed to get the crowd going. This has also worked in making him extremely comfortable behind the microphone and has allowed him to host some of Durban’s biggest festivals and the country’s biggest concerts namely hosting The Lumineers, Chris Brown, even Michael Bublé.

Although his journey has been fairly short, he has managed to grow in leaps and bounds to get to where he is today and it’s safe to say the story of Msizi James has only just begun. His life’s motto is - Until further notice, celebrate everything.
