Paballo Koza

Paballo began acting at age 5, starring in numerous commercials. At age 11, he landed his first TV role on the SABC 2 drama series ‘Thola.’ He also starred in the short film ‘The Blanket’ and recorded voice overs for Cell C’s TV & radio ads. He proceeded to get a supporting role in the SAFTA winning soapie ‘Rhythm City’ at age 13 and starred in the Darrel Roodt, SATFA nominated, comedy film ‘Skorokoro’ the same year.

At age 14 he received an African Movie Academy Award nomination for Best Young Actor for his starring role in the theatrical drama film ‘Dora’s Peace.’ During the same year he also began acting on the SAFTA nominated Mzansi Magic telenovela ’The Queen’, to which he had a recurring role through the six consecutive seasons.

He starred in the ETV drama ‘Easy Money’ at the age of 15. Paballo then proceeded to act in the critically acclaimed Mzansi Magic drama series ‘Houskeepers’ the following year, to which he had a supporting role during the first two seasons and a starring role on the third season.

Paballo acted while simultaneously attending school, which showcased his passion for acting as well as diligence and good work ethic. He attended high school at The National School of The Arts, majoring in Dramatic Arts.

In 2020, he starred in the SAFTA nominated Netflix film ‘Riding with Sugar’ as well as a guest role on BET’s telenovela ‘Isono’ that same year.

After graduating high school with a bachelor’s pass and three distinctions in 2020, he took his studies further by studying filmmaking at The New York Film Academy.

Nhlanhla Buthelezi, otherwise affectionately referred to by his clan name, Shenge, is a language practitioner and polished communicator. His fluent usage of IsiZulu, Setswana, and English, to effectively convey diverse messages, has earned him appreciation from various sectors of society as a seasoned language enthusiast, writer, and voiceover artist.

He has been a sought after programme director and speaker at keynote community events, brand activations, schools, media launches, as well as corporate functions. His voiceover journey commenced in 2007, this, coupled with his work within the communication industry, has since established him as a fervent advocate and communicator with a deep love for Indigenous languages.

Nhlanhla Sehume is a seasoned broadcaster based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

He started off in the industry working in radio, at YFM as a news anchor in 2011.

Nhlanhla then moved to Kaya 95.9 from there and moved to Power 98.7, where he currently manages the assignments desk.

The 34-year-old is also the host of Newzroom Afrika's weekend Newsfeed programme and has also featured as a presenter on eNCA and Carte Blanche (Guest presenter).

Bonnie Mbuli

Bonnie Mbuli

Bonnie Mbuli was born in Soweto, South Africa.

She was discovered by an actor’s agent when she was just thirteen years old.  Her first job - shortly thereafter -  was in a television series titled Viva Families.  This was followed by cameo roles in various international productions: Born Free 2 and Cave Girls. Bonnie went on to present several magazine programs for television including Teleschool, Zapmag, Technics Heart of the Beat and Limits Unlimited.

In 2001, Bonnie was cast as the lead role in the hit television soap opera, Backstage aimed at the South African youth market. She was later given the role of Portia in the series Gazlam and afterward as a detective in the series Zero Tolerance.

Bonnie hosted a talk show in South Africa on SABC 1 entitled True-Life, won a role in the mini-series Homecoming, and appeared in two Canadian television series: Charlie Jade (a sci-fi epic) and Scouts Safari (an adventure series set in the African wild). She had a starring role in Home Affairs for Penguin Films: a popular thirteen-part series about the lives of five very different women. Bonnie went on to appear in television series Soul City and Hillside (for SABC 1 and SABC 2): she played the lead in both. She was then cast in the ground-breaking series, The Philanthropist for NBC (later on SABC 3), a prime time American action drama TV series.

She has played the role of singer Dolly Radebe in the film Drum; the lead role in the Danish film Blinded Angels, directed by the acclaimed Jon Bang Carlsen; and she starred opposite Tim Robbins and Derek Luke in the Phillip Noyce Universal Pictures blockbuster Catch a Fire.  The Washington Post had this to say about Bonnie's performance in Catch a Fire : “South Africa's Henna Is ‘On Fire'”.  She also played Zindzi Mandela in Clint Eastwood’s film Invictus about Nelson Mandela’s involvement in the 2010 rugby World Cup which also starred Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon.

Bonnie is more than just a household name in South Africa: she was a child star who won the hearts of South Africans across the country and continues to blaze trails as an inspiring role model. Her influence reaches beyond South Africa: she is said to possesses a ‘talent reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn’ by the New York Times.  Well-travelled, highly articulate and possessed of an agile mind, Bonnie carries herself with an elegance, grace and élan evident to all. She is frequently on the cover of South Africa's glossiest magazines and continues to feature on the many current and popular radio and television shows.

This multi-talented performer is also a skilled MC for high-profile events, and her voice – a velvety alto – is much in demand as a voice-over artist.

Bonnie has starred in e.tv’s Rhythm City in a recurring role, playing the intriguing, powerful and sometimes crazy Nozipho; on Mzansi Magic’s drama series Rockville as the feisty Dudu and on Etv’s ground-breaking crime investigation series Traffic: the first of its kind to star a female on South African television.

In 2015, Bonnie starred opposite Sir Kenneth Charles Branagh as police woman Grace Mthembu in the popular British series Wallander.

Bonnie came third on M-Net's popular television show, Survivor Maldives - "Celebs vs Plebs". On Survivor, this beloved star came across as a positive and nurturing soul and with a strong mental spiritual and physical backbone.

After a three year stint as host on the South African lifestyle show Afternoon Express which has one of the largest viewerships in South African television, Bonnie returned to the small screen with a bang starring in Season 1 and 2 of BBC One’s Noughts and Crosses where she plays the formidable Jasmine. On South African television, she currently stars in Season 2 of Mzansi Magic’s riveting political drama, The Republic.

Bonnie is also a published author: her memoir Eyebags and Dimples is a best seller in South Africa and is available in most major bookstores nationwide.

Community and social development are passions very close to Bonnie’s heart. Her has done extensive work with abandoned children and in South African orphanages has been influential in her has become a spokesperson for Adoption Voice S.A.

Kuhle is an AFDA graduate (The South African School of Film, Television and Dramatic Art) and received his degree in Directing, Producing and Writing in 2007. Since graduating he has built up various other experiences within the entertainment industry, working as a sport researcher for the SABC, the 2008 Olympic Games and the Confederation Cup in 2009. Kuhle has also worked as a casting director for television commercials.

He has also worked behind the scenes in Johannesburg’s Hip Hop scene with multiple live events and by providing content and consultancy for some of the top promotors in the city. Some highlights include various shoots and live events for

Sizo Mahlangu is an Actor, based in Johannesburg.

He was born in America in 1993, and then his family moved back to Johannesburg, South Africa when he was one years old. Sizo studied musical theatre, dance and drama at The Waterfront Theatre School in Cape Town and graduated in 2015.

After finishing his studies, Sizo has worked consistently in Film, Television and Theatre. Some highlights include; featuring as the role of Obi in the fourth season of TV Series, ‘Black Sails’, playing Eugene in National Geographic’s original TV Series ‘Origins: The History of Mankind’ and starring as Othello, in The Galloway Theatre’s production of ‘Othello’.

During the course of this past year, Sizo has captivated audiences through his Poetry and Performance Art, exploring the psychology of the performative identity.

Steven Ward

Steven is a South African actor who is soon to be best known for his role as Mihawk in the Netflix live action adaption of One Piece – the best-selling manga series in history – releasing this year.

Having completed a Bachelor in Live Performance from AFDA, as well as training with several local and international coaches, Steven has appeared in a number of theatre and film productions including, Barefoot in the Park, The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, The Day We Didn’t Meet, and SAFTA award-winning film, From a House on Willow Street.

Making his television debut in the 2010 Amstel Class Act competition, placing 7th in South Africa, Steven has appeared in  numerous commercials and is a regular on television screens worldwide, having played characters in local soapies like Tempi Pushas; and international roles in Strike Back, Syfy’s Vagrant Queen, and M-Net’s Inconceivable.

Steven has lived all over the world, starting on a small island off the coast of Australia (Papua New Guinea), and valuable years in Los Angeles. Deciding to settle down back in Johannesburg with his family in 2018, Steven has been working consistently on screen as an actor and behind the scenes in show development.
