Khosi Ngema

Khosi Ngema is an actress and singer-songwriter born in Johannesburg South Africa on 2 November 1999. Khosi grew up in a creative family and naturally fell in love with the arts as a child.

On 20 May 2020, she made her acting debut in the second African Netflix original series “Blood and Water” as the second lead role – “Fikile Bhele” a star swimmer of an elite high school who is suspected to be the abducted at birth sister of leading character “Puleng Khumalo”.

Before her acting debut on Blood and Water, her acting experience was from taking Dramatic Arts in high school as well as writing and acting in a few short films thereafter. Khosi was recently acknowledged and praised by renowned actress Gabrielle Union on her acting and career endeavours. She is currently working on independent projects in music and fashion as well as making efforts to get more involved in the community to highlight and address national and global social matters.

Busisiwe Mtshali’s passion and vibrant personality are without a doubt the most enduring characteristics about this incredible actress. Born, bred and raised in the bustling streets of Johannesburg, Busisiwe is without a doubt a city slicker who thrives in the fast pace of city life.

Busisiwe completed her tertiary education at the University of the Witwatersrand where she obtained her Honors Degree in a Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic arts in 2013, her career though started well before obtaining her qualification. In 2019 she booked her first international feature film following the narrative of Muslim girls saved from a Boko Haram camp. Petronella Tshuma

Petronella Tshuma

Petronella Tshuma is a multi-award winning and nominated Actor. Born in Francestown, Botswana, At the age of five Petronella and her family moved back to their home country of South Africa.

It was in a church in downtown Johannesburg in 1997 that Petronella fell in love with performing. Her very first introduction to acting would be the adaption of the nativity stage play. As her love for stage and story telling grew, she began to perform in school plays around her neighbourhood of Yeoville, Hillbrowand Berea.

In 2001, Petronella moved to the United Kingdom. She lived in the Southwest of England in Bristol and attended Filton High School where she majored in Drama. Her final performance was the hot and feisty Carmen in the hit musical FAME. In 2008 after two years of studying acting at SWADA she received her BTECH.

In 2011 Petronella first came to public attention when she made the Top ten finalists on the second season of the SABC1 talent search Class Act. Shortly thereafter, Petronella landed her first major role on Scandal! In the same year, Petronella attended the Durban International Film – and was approached by the Director and Producer's of the multi awarding winning film OF GOOD REPORT to play the character of Nolita which earned her a nomination at the South African Film and Television Awards for Best Actress in a feature film and her first win for Most Promising Actor at the Africa Movie Academy Awards.

Thus far, Petronella has worked on a number of films, to name a few; While You Weren’t Looking, Hatchet Hour and Tokoloshewhich can be seen on Netflix alongside Of Good Report. Petronella's latest film Clean Job is set for release this year on Amazon Prime.

She has also worked on numerous television shows such as, 90 Plein Street, Sokhulu amd Partners, Goodmen, Plintered Pieces, Isono and Rhythm City which earned her a nomination at the South African Film and Television Awards for Best Supporting Actress in a Soap and a win for Best Actress in a Soap.

Petronella's huge imagination and love for play as a child was the catalyst into acting. story-telling was and still is the place she feels most confident and thrives bringing life and truth to the characters she has the privilege to play.

Zanele Potelwa is one of the youngest minds in the commercial radio and TV space - 5FM Monday – Friday Lunch 12pm to 3pm & TV Presenter on SABC 1: Selimathunzi.  Zanele is full of life, inspired and a multi-faceted young woman from the Eastern Cape and there is nothing she loves more than people. Her passion and absolute respect for the art of speaking - in every shape and form - stems from the love that she has for communicating with, being with, and wanting to know more about people from all different walks of life. From radio to television presenting, to being an MC (for corporate events and musical festivals), and even acting.

After having worked as The Drive Time show host at TuksFM in 2018, Zanele joined 947 as part of the 947 Crew and as an on-air presenter on their overnight show on weekends. During the week, Zanele and her fellow crew members were correspondents and the ‘on the ground’ crew for 947 for all the cool things happening in and around Joburg with teams like 'Anele and The Club'.

Zanele then joined the national radio station 5FM – 1 - 4AM Monday-Friday. She then moved to join the Roger Goode Show as traffic presenter and after just one year, was given her very own weekday lunch time show. Zanele quickly won the “Bright Stars Award” at the Liberty Radio Awards 2019.

In 2017, Zanele entered the “Mzansi Insider TV Presenter Search’ where she was awarded Runner-Up. Soon after, she became a guest presenter on Selimathunzi, the celebrity entertainment show on SABC 1 & the longest running magazine show in SA & as of early 2020, Zanele became the main TV Presenter for the show.

Zanele has also worked at the Global Citizen Festival Mandela 100 Event that took place at FNB Stadium in 2018, where she interviewed local and international trailblazers such Denai Gurira, D’banj, Bonang Matheba and the deputy Prime Minister of Belgium: Alexander Croo.

Bonnie Mbuli

Bonnie Mbuli was born in Soweto, South Africa.

She was discovered by an actor’s agent when she was just thirteen years old.  Her first job - shortly thereafter -  was in a television series titled Viva Families.  This was followed by cameo roles in various international productions: Born Free 2 and Cave Girls. Bonnie went on to present several magazine programs for television including Teleschool, Zapmag, Technics Heart of the Beat and Limits Unlimited.

In 2001, Bonnie was cast as the lead role in the hit television soap opera, Backstage aimed at the South African youth market. She was later given the role of Portia in the series Gazlam and afterward as a detective in the series Zero Tolerance.

Bonnie hosted a talk show in South Africa on SABC 1 entitled True-Life, won a role in the mini-series Homecoming, and appeared in two Canadian television series: Charlie Jade (a sci-fi epic) and Scouts Safari (an adventure series set in the African wild). She had a starring role in Home Affairs for Penguin Films: a popular thirteen-part series about the lives of five very different women. Bonnie went on to appear in television series Soul City and Hillside (for SABC 1 and SABC 2): she played the lead in both. She was then cast in the ground-breaking series, The Philanthropist for NBC (later on SABC 3), a prime time American action drama TV series.

She has played the role of singer Dolly Radebe in the film Drum; the lead role in the Danish film Blinded Angels, directed by the acclaimed Jon Bang Carlsen; and she starred opposite Tim Robbins and Derek Luke in the Phillip Noyce Universal Pictures blockbuster Catch a Fire.  The Washington Post had this to say about Bonnie's performance in Catch a Fire : “South Africa's Henna Is ‘On Fire'”.  She also played Zindzi Mandela in Clint Eastwood’s film Invictus about Nelson Mandela’s involvement in the 2010 rugby World Cup which also starred Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon.

Bonnie is more than just a household name in South Africa: she was a child star who won the hearts of South Africans across the country and continues to blaze trails as an inspiring role model. After a nation wide search for the best acting talent in South Africa, Tumie Ngumla emerged as the 2011 Amstel Class Act competition winner,an initiative that was created with the aim of providing an opportunity for aspiring actors to expose their talent to the South African audience. As part of the prizes,she got the opportunity to study a 3 month course at the pristegeous New York Film Academy in New York.With goals and inspiration in tow,she returned home to begin a celebrated and we'll curated career.

Her debut was on Sabc1's popular drama series Tempy Pushas, directed by the talented Amanda Lane,under the production house Endemol,where she portrayed the role of Princess Zembe,set against the backdrop of the lavish fashion world, and juxtaposed with the vibrant township culture.

She then landed her first leading role on Sabc1's political thriller Ihawu le Sizwe, which aired three times and on all occasions attracted a very high viewing audience, directed by Sechaba Morajele and produced by Provoke Entertainment.

She broadened her horizon by playing Bulelwa on the famous soapie Rhythm City.

Avenged, originally titled iNumber Number, a 2013 South African action film written and directed by Donovan Marsh,was screened in the Contemporary World Cinema at the Toronto International Film Festival. Tumie played Thuli, the wife of a cop. She was also part of the cast in the spin-off series from the movie which was produced by Quizzical pictures, then directed by the well acclaimed Roli Nikiwe.

Trending on Netflix, Tumie got the honor of portraying the role of a leading Meme in the movie Groom's Price, directed by Mmabatho Montsho.

On the outskirts of the beautiful landscape of Kwa Zulu Natal Tumie got the opportunity to work on a political drama film Last Victim playing the role of a young Lwazi in 2018 which also premiered at the Pan African Film Festival.

Scoring a leading role in the much anticipated Yellowbone Entertainment produced movie Valedictory directed by Jahmil X. Qubeka was a dream come true for this thespian.
