Busisiwe Mtshali’s passion and vibrant personality are without a doubt the most enduring characteristics about this incredible actress. Born, bred and raised in the bustling streets of Johannesburg, Busisiwe is without a doubt a city slicker who thrives in the fast pace of city life.
Busisiwe completed her tertiary education at the University of the Witwatersrand where she obtained her Honors Degree in a Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic arts in 2013, her career though started well before obtaining her qualification. While studying she was notorious for juggling both her studies and her passion for the industry with ease and utmost professionalism and because of this Busisiwe was able to pave the path of her destiny. From Lokshin bioscopes to international features she has continued to prove that her passion, professionalism and eagerness have remained integral in how she approaches her craft.
Busisiwe has been a part of some very popular shows within the South African industry and such as Lockdown, Ring of Lie to name a few, but many may commonly know her for her role of Thandeka on Thandeka’s Diary. She’s also graced our screens on soapies such as Scandal as well as Isidingo. In 2019 she booked her first international feature film following the narrative of Muslim girls saved from a Boko Haram camp. With both local and international film festival awards under her belt it’s clear to see that her range is wide and her talent immeasurable.
