Mpho Osei-Tutu

Mpho Osei-Tutu was born in Paris to a Mosotho mother and Ghanaian father and has lived in South Africa, Lesotho, France, England, Togo, Ghana and the United States.

His love of drama began at the tender age of eight. He holds a B.A. (Hons) in Dramatic Art from Wits University, where he majored in Performance, Television and Screenwriting and is a familiar actor on the South African stage and screen.

On stage, Mpho has performed in Mike van Graan’s When Swallows Cry (2018 Naledi Awards Best Play). He also played Mr. Grove in Reza de Wet’s African Gothic (2018 Broadway World Awards Best Play and Best Actor in a Featured Role). His portrayal of multiple roles in Wajdi Mouawad’s Scorched earned him a Best Actor nomination at the 2017 Naledis and he was part of the 2013 Naledi Best Play ensemble of Moliere’s The Miser. He enjoyed success with his self-penned Convincing Carlos (2010 Standard Bank Ovation Award) and has enjoyed multiple runs with Zakes Mda’s The Mother Of All Eating, Paul Slabolepsky’s For Your Ears Only and Athol Fugard’s The Island. He also played Ramabanquo in Pieter-Dirk Uys’ MacBeki.

On screen, Mpho has starred in TV shows, films and commercials. He currently plays the role of fallen Mayor of Joburg, Shivambu, on Mzansi Magic’s Isithembiso and played twins Tebza and Gary in the second instalment of the popular anthological series The Imposter (on Showmax)He received Best Actor nominations in the form of Peter Bishai’s internationally acclaimed A Million Colours/Colors of Heaven (on Netflix) and the Mzansi Magic sitcom Samsokolo at the SAFTAs (South Africa’s Oscars) in 2013 and 2014 respectively. In 2007 he was part of the cast for the International Emmy nominated Home Affairs. He has acted in TV shows for HBO, BET, BBC, Endemol and Discovery Channel and has worked with acclaimed winning directors Phillip Noyce, Peter Bishai, Bronwen Hughes, John Irvin, Julian Jarrold and Akin Omotoso.

Mpho is a voice over artist who has voiced radio and TV commercials, corporate events, telephone IVRs, audio books and radio plays. He was part of the cast of the MTN Radio Award Winning radio Radio Vuka.

He is also an award winning screenwriter, a director and a producer with sitcom, drama and talk show credits to his name. He has been on the following SAFTA winning teams: Thuli no Thulani (2019 Best Writing in a Comedy), Ga Re Dumele (2016 Best Directing in a Comedy), Check Coast (2015 Best Writing in a Comedy) and Rhythm City (2009 Best Writing in a Soap). He was on the writing team of the 2010 International Emmy Nominated Hopeville, co-created the sitcom Kota Life Crisis (12 SAFTA nominations and 1 win for season 1 and 2) and wrote two seasons of the late night talk show WTF Tumi which earned him a Comics Pen nomination at the Savanna Comics Choice Awards.

Mpho served as a trustee of Johannesburg’s longest running Schools Drama festival The Raps One Act Play Festival from 2010 till its winding up in 2018. He was also on the board of The South African Guild of Actors from 2012 to 2014.

Sechaba Gqeba

Sechaba Gqeba

The multi-talented Sechaba Gqeba hails from Vereeniging in Gauteng. Many are familiar with her voice on radio as she has over a decade of broadcast experience. In addition to being a radio host she is also a television presenter, a seasoned MC and speaker.

Her commercial radio breakthrough came up when she won a region wide annual talent search hosted by 947 previously known as Highveld Stereo and subsequently worked for Eye Witness News (EWN.) This then secured her role as a news reader for some of South Africa’s leading national radio platforms, namely; SAfm & Radio 2000. The next step was when Sechaba was offered her own nighttime radio show on Kaya FM.

The Kaya FM break proved that she was more than ready to share her distinctly recognizable voice with any radio audience, looking to further her career Sechaba moved to Cape Town to host her own daytime show on KFM for over 3 years. Sechaba has since returned to the City of Gold to expand her horizons and explore additional opportunities.

She made her television debut as the host of Motswako (Season 19) – a show that addresses pertinent issues such as women empowerment and leadership with a strong focus on informing while entertaining. Sechaba was also named among the 2018 Mail & Guardian Top 200 South Africans.

Sechaba continues to make strides in media broadcasting. She can also be heard across many radio and TV channels as she lends her disctinct voice to some of the country’s leading brands (Such as Woolworths, Audi, Engen, DHL, Johnson & Johnson, Old Mutual, Savlon, GNC, Vodacom, 1Magic, Albany and many more) as a voice artist.

Dimakatso Mookodi

Dimakatso Mookodi

Dimakatso Mookodi aka Dima graduated from the Market Theatre Lab in 2002 in Performing Arts. She has worked behind the scenes at the Market Theatre as a Stage Manager and moved to Advertising in 2007 and worked as a radio producer for Sonovision Creatives and DDB Advertising Agency, she is also an entrepreneur and a speaker, was a content contributor for UNISA Radio and Motsweding FM in 2017.

She runs her own communications company specialising in conceptual writing and translation in indigenous languages and also does language supervision in recordings. She also has a company that writes children literature in indigenous languages and produces children theatre productions based on the books they write. She freelances for Insight Media Academy as a voice over coach.

Her love for voice overs developed as she produced a lot of ads and has since been training herself to be one of the most sought after voice over artist’s specialising in Setswana and Sesotho. Her performing arts training and experience as a producer has prepared her for the work ahead.

Warren Masemola

Warren Masemola

Warren is represented as a Voice Artist by Owen S Management.

Warren Masemola is a South African actor and voice artist best known for his role as art director Lentswe Mokethi on the e.tv soapie Scandal!, in 2008.

He is also known for his starring role as gay neighbour Thokozani "Thoko" Chanel - Phumi's (Busi Lurayi) sidekick - in the SABC1 sitcom Ses'Top La.

He also played the role of Tizozo on the SABC1 drama series Intersexions (2010) and has had guest appearances on television series such as Isidingo and The Philanthropist.

Warren was born in Garankuwa, but grew up in Soshanguve. He matriculated from Reitumetse/Tshwane Christian School in 2000.

He realised that his love for the arts could be channelled into a career, so he enrolled at Moving Into Dance – an academy in Joburg's Newtown.

He studied there for a year, which was followed by two years of studying drama at the Market Theatre Laboratory, graduating from there in 2004.

Voice projects include a role in the Metro FM radio drama Chase and a radio show called Frank for Frank Talk. His theatre experience includes a musical directed by Fiona Ramsay (Spirit of Gerard Sekoto-Guga Mzimba), a European tour with Robyn Orlin in Dressed to Kill...Killed to Dress; and an operatic piece called When we peel off our skin...

He loves traveling, enjoys music and reading. His favourite television shows include Weeds, Shameless, Modern Family and Breaking Bad.

Lala Tuku

Lala Tuku

Lala Tuku (née Monamodi) is a South African actress, television presenter, director, producer, vocal coach and events entrepreneur best known for her role as socialite swinger Paris Zondi in the e.tv soapie Scandal!.

She also had a role in the SABC1 soapie Generations, hosted the SABC2 magazine programme Life 24/7 and starred in the SABC1 mini-series Dream World, an adaptation of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, set in a contemporary South African setting.

Lala attended the AFDA School of Film and Live Performance and in 2006 established the corporate entertainment consulting company Corporate Icons, that conceptualises and produces large scale events.

She was also a producer on the SABC1 celebrity gossip show The Real Goboza (2009) and the religious programme Top Gospel, in 2010. In addition, she was an assistant director on the youth soapie Backstage.

Former Head of New Business Development and Communications Director at Clive Morris Productions, Lala is now the Head of Local Productions at the SABC.

With her extensive acting background Lala is an exceptional voice artist and is great at a variety of delivery styles as well as being fluent in English, Sesotho and Setswana.

Dineo ‘Moeketsi’ Langa

Dineo 'Moeketsi' Langa

The National School of the Arts graduate beat out over 3000 contestants to the final stages of the O-Access presenter search to take the most highly coveted job in entertainment on the African continent.

But her talents go way further than that, she has previously sung backing vocals for Flash Republic, and showcased her skills in several roles, including Soul City 10 and the independent feature film Skyf.

She also impressed in her cameo role in Winnie, the story of Winnie Mandela and her supporting role in Jacob's Cross. Since then she has also presented O News and 411 for Channel O, V-Prime and V-Entertainment on Vuzu and was also the co-host of the 2011 Channel O Music Video Awards.

Dineo’s relaxed presenting style and professionalism was also showcased as she presented the Big Brother TV Final in 2011, and was V-Entertainment and O-Access's Red Carpet Host at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards.

From several high profile public speaking engagements, like being MC at Drum Magazine's 60th birthday concert and The Street Cred Urban Festival in 2011, to working as a voice-over artist for diverse clients such as One Gospel Channel to Kotex and even the Madam and Eve TV Pilot.

In 2012, Dineo reported from the red carpet at the 9th Annual Channel O Africa Music Video Awards. She also portrayed the character of Lindiwe in a South African science fiction police procedural television series, Room 9 and began Vuzu’s V-Entertainment alongside Lalla Hirayama, Siyabonga Ngwekazi and Thomas.

In 2013, she guest-starred on the second season of the SABC 1 sitcom, My Perfect Family.

In 2014, she appeared as herself in the Vuzu satirical mockumentary, Check Coast. In mid 2014 Dineo was a guest on the third season of e.tv’s talk show ScreenTime with Nicky Greenwall. At the end of the year she co-hosted Mzansi Magic’s reality series, My Perfect Proposal.

In April 2015 Dineo began co-hosting e.tv’s talk show, Ekse Zwakala, October saw e.tv announce via their website that Dineo was joining the channel’s soap opera, Scandal!, where she portrayed the character of Naledi Thebe.

In 2016 - 2020, Dineo plays the part of Kea in Mzanzi Magic’s The Queen, moving in 2021 on to S3's (Previously SABC 3) The Estate playing the role of Mmakoena Molefe,  whilst continuing to lend her talent to MC and voice over work. Dineo shows a professionalism, versatility and passion in all her work. There is no doubt she attracts attention wherever she goes.

Tumi Morake

Tumi Morake

Tumi Morake relocated to Johannesburg from the North West in order to follow her passion for the Arts. The multi-lingual powerhouse studied Drama at Wits from 2000 to 2003 which launched her into her first job travelling with AREPP Theatre Life, a touring educational theatre company, working across South Africa.

After paying her dues on the road, in 2005  Tumi arrived back in Johannesburg with her heart set on making a name for herself in the comedy world. Breaking out in 2006 Tumi is one of the most successful female comedians and highly sort after on the commercial and corporate circuit. She has worked with the likes of David Kau, Mark Lottering, Barry Hilton and Chris Forest on stages such as the Heavyweights Comedy JamBlacks OnlyHave A HeartJust Because Comedy FestivalThe Tshwane Comedy FestivalThe Lifestyle SA Festival and Old Mutual Comedy Encounters. 

In 2008 Tumi hosted the 8th Annual Woodstock Festival. Tumi was the only female among the international and local acts at the 2009 Vodacom Funny Festival. A highlight of her career was being a part of the 46664 It's No Joke Line Up.

Tumi's television career has encompassed  a focus on both acting and writing. Her television credits include roles as; Pabi in Soul Buddies (SABC 1), Persistence in Askies (SABC 2), and Millicent in Izoso Connection (SABC 1.) In 2006 she co-wrote Getting It On which won an award for Best Short at the VUKA! Awards. In 2007 she played a cameo role in the sitcom City Ses'la an award winning SAFTA show.  She is part of the team of writers for the SABC sitcom Nomzamo as well as the comedy-drama For Sale (2007.) Her international credits include a supporting role in the international award winning films Jerusalema, Skin and Joburg.

In 2012 Tumi was the fifth host to present Comedy Central Presents... Live at the Parkers. Comedy Central aired Tumi Morake: HERStory, a Stand-up special in 2013. Tumi co-hosted the 8th annual SAFTA's in 2014. She also began hosting Our Perfect Wedding, a Mzanzi Magic reality show. She hosted the last 13 episodes of season 4 and the first 13 episodes of season 5 before handing over, as is tradition, to the new host.

In 2016 she started hosting a once a week talk show Sipping Tea on Cliff Central, from there Tumi moved onto the breakfast show with Martin Bester on Jacaranda FM in 2017. 2017 was an exciting year for Tumi, seeing her become an ambassador for Jaguar Menlyn and co-hosting the fun variety show Red Cake -not the cooking show on SABC 2. Tumi also landed her own late night talk show on SABC 3 #WTF Tumi & took her stand-up comedy show; Tumi or not Tumi, on the road.
