Lesedi Job

Lesedi Job is an award-winning theatre director, actress and voiceover artist.

Upon graduating she was cast in the Lion and the Jewel at the Market Theatre and has worked consistently over the years as an actress in both theatre and television.

As an actress one of her distinct abilities is her voice, which led her to her career as a voiceover artist that spans well over 10 yrs.

In 2016 Lesedi embarked on her journey to becoming a theatre director when she was part of workshopping a new Musical in Toronto receiving mentorship from British director Adrian Noble.

In 2017 her directorial debut was Mike Van Graan’s When Swallows Cry at the Market Theatre which won her a Naledi Theatre award for Best Director and also won awards for Best New South African Script and Best Production. This play under her direction has gone on to be performed at the 2018 Ethiopia African Union Conference, 2018 Geneva Peace Week and 2018 Stockholm Forum on Peace and Development.

She has since directed Itsoseng, Helen of Troyeville, Dead Tinder Society, Meet me at Dawn starring Pamela Nomvete and Natasha Sutherland, Congo; the trial of King Leopold ii starring Robert Whitehead and Dr John Kani and Brutal Legacy an adaptation of Tracy Going’s memoir addressing the issue of gender-based violence. The theatre production Brutal Legacy is now part of the documentary That’s What She Said which Lesedi has also co-produced as part of YesGirlProductions. In 2022 she directed Kill Move Paradise in support of the Black Lives Matter movement and in 2023 she worked as resident director on the South African musical Calling Us Home alongside New York based director Peter Flynn.

In 2019 Lesedi mentored director’s in Nairobi for the Kampala International Theatre Festival in Uganda as part of the Nairobi Musical Theatre Initiative in collaboration with Sundance Theatre in New York.

She is a recipient of the Sophie Mgcina Emerging Voice Award, Mbokodo Women in Arts Award for Theatre and was nominated as a candidate for the prestigious Rolex Mentorship Protégé Arts Initiative.

Nina Hlalo

Nina Hlalo

Nina Hlalo is a dynamically well-rounded entertainer and an aspiring actress who made her debut appearance on our South African screens on the Amstel Class Act 2011 competition, where she came forth in the female category.

In addition to making it to Top 4, she also dazzled the audience with her eclectic personality which awarded her The Viewers Choice Award from Metro FM. After her appearance on Class Act she was invited to emcee the KZN Spring Music Festival in Pietermaritzburg. She hosted a music show on DSTV's Africa Magic channel entitled Music on Africa Magic which reaches over 18 countries across Africa.

With her love for the stage and natural flare for entertainment, Nina offers a diverse array of talents such as voice overs, emceeing, acting, and presenting.

Dineo ‘Moeketsi’ Langa

Dineo 'Moeketsi' Langa

The National School of the Arts graduate beat out over 3000 contestants to the final stages of the O-Access presenter search to take the most highly coveted job in entertainment on the African continent.

But her talents go way further than that, she has previously sung backing vocals for Flash Republic, and showcased her skills in several roles, including Soul City 10 and the independent feature film Skyf.

She also impressed in her cameo role in Winnie, the story of Winnie Mandela and her supporting role in Jacob's Cross. Since then she has also presented O News and 411 for Channel O, V-Prime and V-Entertainment on Vuzu and was also the co-host of the 2011 Channel O Music Video Awards.

Dineo’s relaxed presenting style and professionalism was also showcased as she presented the Big Brother TV Final in 2011, and was V-Entertainment and O-Access's Red Carpet Host at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards.

From several high profile public speaking engagements, like being MC at Drum Magazine's 60th birthday concert and The Street Cred Urban Festival in 2011, to working as a voice-over artist for diverse clients such as One Gospel Channel to Kotex and even the Madam and Eve TV Pilot.

In 2012, Dineo reported from the red carpet at the 9th Annual Channel O Africa Music Video Awards. She also portrayed the character of Lindiwe in a South African science fiction police procedural television series, Room 9 and began Vuzu’s V-Entertainment alongside Lalla Hirayama, Siyabonga Ngwekazi and Thomas.

In 2013, she guest-starred on the second season of the SABC 1 sitcom, My Perfect Family.

In 2014, she appeared as herself in the Vuzu satirical mockumentary, Check Coast. In mid 2014 Dineo was a guest on the third season of e.tv’s talk show ScreenTime with Nicky Greenwall. At the end of the year she co-hosted Mzansi Magic’s reality series, My Perfect Proposal.

In April 2015 Dineo began co-hosting e.tv’s talk show, Ekse Zwakala, October saw e.tv announce via their website that Dineo was joining the channel’s soap opera, Scandal!, where she portrayed the character of Naledi Thebe.

In 2016 - 2020, Dineo plays the part of Kea in Mzanzi Magic’s The Queen, moving in 2021 on to S3's (Previously SABC 3) The Estate playing the role of Mmakoena Molefe,  whilst continuing to lend her talent to MC and voice over work. Dineo shows a professionalism, versatility and passion in all her work. There is no doubt she attracts attention wherever she goes.

Brenda Sakellarides

Brenda Sakellarides studied a BA Hons at UKZN, she describes herself as a creative catalyst. Her journey in the arts sector has seen her working as an actress, singer, writer, creative consultant and arts administrator.

Highlights of her performing career include playing The Kabuki Medea, Moll Flanders, Nancy in Oliver, Julie Laverne in Showboat, The Baroness in The Sound of Music, Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar, Eva Peron in Evita, Golde in Fiddler on the Roof, Anna in The King and I, the Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods and The Earth Mother in Menopause The Musical.

Brenda’s recent work includes two Naledi nominated performances; Ms Nevers in Tom Coash’s Cry Havoc for UJ Arts and Culture and Eleftheria in the premiere season of Renos Spanoudes hauntingly beautiful play Soil at the Auto & General Theatre on the Square.

Brenda served as Chairperson of the Arts & Culture Trust (ACT) from 2009 – 2011 and holds the honorary position of ACT Ambassador.

In 2015 she was delighted to return to musical theatre playing the rapping Sister Lazarus in Sister Act – The Musical for The Joburg Theatre.

Brenda runs The Pink Room, which offers a wide range of creative services including the generation of original music for theatre, film and television, copy & script writing and arts management services.

She serves as Chairperson of the Governing Body of the National School of the Arts and is a Director of the Johannesburg Youth Ballet.

Tumi Morake

Tumi Morake

Tumi Morake relocated to Johannesburg from the North West in order to follow her passion for the Arts. The multi-lingual powerhouse studied Drama at Wits from 2000 to 2003 which launched her into her first job travelling with AREPP Theatre Life, a touring educational theatre company, working across South Africa.

After paying her dues on the road, in 2005  Tumi arrived back in Johannesburg with her heart set on making a name for herself in the comedy world. Breaking out in 2006 Tumi is one of the most successful female comedians and highly sort after on the commercial and corporate circuit. She has worked with the likes of David Kau, Mark Lottering, Barry Hilton and Chris Forest on stages such as the Heavyweights Comedy JamBlacks OnlyHave A HeartJust Because Comedy FestivalThe Tshwane Comedy FestivalThe Lifestyle SA Festival and Old Mutual Comedy Encounters. 

In 2008 Tumi hosted the 8th Annual Woodstock Festival. Tumi was the only female among the international and local acts at the 2009 Vodacom Funny Festival. A highlight of her career was being a part of the 46664 It's No Joke Line Up.

Tumi's television career has encompassed  a focus on both acting and writing. Her television credits include roles as; Pabi in Soul Buddies (SABC 1), Persistence in Askies (SABC 2), and Millicent in Izoso Connection (SABC 1.) In 2006 she co-wrote Getting It On which won an award for Best Short at the VUKA! Awards. In 2007 she played a cameo role in the sitcom City Ses'la an award winning SAFTA show.  She is part of the team of writers for the SABC sitcom Nomzamo as well as the comedy-drama For Sale (2007.) Her international credits include a supporting role in the international award winning films Jerusalema, Skin and Joburg.

In 2012 Tumi was the fifth host to present Comedy Central Presents... Live at the Parkers. Comedy Central aired Tumi Morake: HERStory, a Stand-up special in 2013. Tumi co-hosted the 8th annual SAFTA's in 2014. She also began hosting Our Perfect Wedding, a Mzanzi Magic reality show. She hosted the last 13 episodes of season 4 and the first 13 episodes of season 5 before handing over, as is tradition, to the new host.

In 2016 she started hosting a once a week talk show Sipping Tea on Cliff Central, from there Tumi moved onto the breakfast show with Martin Bester on Jacaranda FM in 2017. 2017 was an exciting year for Tumi, seeing her become an ambassador for Jaguar Menlyn and co-hosting the fun variety show Red Cake -not the cooking show on SABC 2. Tumi also landed her own late night talk show on SABC 3 #WTF Tumi & took her stand-up comedy show; Tumi or not Tumi, on the road.

Angie Ellse – CPT

Angie Ellse - CPT

Angie is a Sports Anchor on eNCA and the voice of Discovery and First For Women.

She has also worked in radio in various capacities for several years, starting out at Smart FM in the mid 90’s. She then plied her trade at a small station in Idaho, USA before heading back to South Africa. Angie freelanced at 94.7 as a news reader and presenter before joining 5fm as the co-host of the weekend breakfast show for 5 years.

Angie has done several IVR recordings for small to medium businesses, as well as a few radio and television ads for the likes of Plascon, Colgate and Nine West.
