Nolwazi Shange, is a SAFTA award winning actress & Casting Director who hails from Durban and studied Drama at The Durban Institute of Technology and hold a Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing & Communications from AAA School of Advertising. She has appeared in well-known programs such as Mtunzini.com as well as the portrayal of Precious in A Place Called Home, Soul City 10, the multi-award winning Intersexions, Single Guys, Zabalaza, Mzansi Love 3 and the international award-winning film Otelo Burning. She also presented Restyle My Style on SABC 2.

Nolwazi was nominated for a SAFTA (South African Film and Television Awards) for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Ntombi in Intersexions Season 1, and nominated for Best Actress on the AMVCA (Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards) 2013 and Pan African Actress at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards for Otelo Burning. In 2010, she was awarded with a SAFTA for Best Supporting Actress for A Place Called Home. True to her diverse nature, Nolwazi also worked as a Casting Director, casting for Intersexions II, Nothing For Mahala, The Chemo Club and Farewell Ella Bella.

Her most celebrated television casting work include MTV Shuga, AboMama, Umlilo, Umkhokha: The Curse, Ndebele drama, Komkhulu, Mzansi Wethu’s first telenovela Sbongile & the Dlaminis and the multi-award winning soap opera Rhythm City. Nolwazi has a vested interest in the business of entertainment, and was honoured at the Clermont Legends Award for representing her hometown.
